Mr. Yang holds a bachelor`s degree in oil and gas production from Daqing Petroleum Institute, PRC and a master`s degree in economics from Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics. Mr. Yang has more than 30 years of experience in the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Prior to joining Shymkent Oil Refinery Group of Companies, Mr. Yang held senior positions in the Finance Department of "CNPC-Aktobemunaigas” JSC, including Head of the Finance Department. From 2006 to 2010, Mr. Yang headed the Finance Department of "Shymkent Oil Refinery Kumkol Resources” JSC, Kyzylorda. From 2010 to 2016, he held senior positions in the Finance Department of "CNPC International in Kazakhstan" in Almaty and Beijing.
From 2016 to 2020 Mr.Yang held the position of Vice President for Finance at Shymkent Oil Refinery Overseas Services Inc., Almaty. From January 2021 Mr.Yang is the President and Chief Executive Officer of PetroKazakhstan Inc., President of Shymkent Oil Refinery Kumkol Resources JSC.
