Cultural Projects
Company actively supports various cultural projects and initiatives. PetroKazakhstan’s participation in such events aims to develop and preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the nation.
Bibigul Tulegenova’s International Singer Contest is one of such projects. As the opera singer herself noted: “PetroKazakhstan and I have a long history of cooperation. They are the constant sponsors of my International Singer Contest.”
The international contest has traditionally been held every two years since 2001 and is the only professional vocal contest in Kazakhstan.
The project aims to foster moral and aesthetic qualities in the young people and the desire to turn their attention to the pure source of classical and folk music. The contest provides an opportunity to discover young talents, raises the prestige of the Kazakh classical art and promotes the spiritual development of youth. Performing the best examples of Kazakh music motivates cultural convergence, reveals the true beauty of the soul of the Kazakh people and attracts attention to the works of the Kazakh composers.
Moreover, the company was given the honor of participating in the concept implementation and becoming the general sponsor of a book about the People’s Artist of the USSR Bibigul Tulegenova published in the Kazakh, Russian and English languages.
PetroKazakhstan was among the sponsors of a musical event, a concert by the People’s Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhaniya Aubakirova and the symphony orchestra of the Astana Ballet Theater directed by the talented conductor Arman Urazgaliyev in Almaty in 2022.
PetroKazakhstan has been supporting such projects as the exhibition of the French artistic heritage “The Pearls of France – French Art and Culture from the Renaissance to the Present Day” in Almaty, organization and holding of an exhibition of outstanding painters from Central Asia and Kazakhstan “The Land Warmed by the Sun” dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the year of culture in Almaty. Company organized the exhibition of Has Sanat Gallery and a classical music concert of Kazakhstani and international stars Aiman Musakhodjayeva, Zhaniya Aubakirova, Maira Mukhamedkyzy and many others in 2015 as part of Kazenergy Association’s 10-th Anniversary.
